Dane Vaughn’s path to professional skateboarding started far from the California industry. Originally from the Baton Rouge area of Louisiana, he began skating after moving to Minnesota, where winter sessions included hours in parking garages. LOVE Park footage and Photosynthesis helped shape his appreciation for street skating, city terrain and discovering spots block by block. After moving to California, Vaughn earned his opportunity with DGK, which introduced him as a professional in 2015 with Laugh Now Cry Later. His work also includes DGK’s Zeitgeist, while painting, fashion and photography provide other outlets for his creativity.
Dane Vaughn’s DGK collection highlights his pro model skateboard decks and rider graphics, connecting his creative outlook with the brand’s street-skating roots.
